A Community of Kinship - We belong to each other

Inspiration: A breath of air being drawn in, bringing new life to one's soul. My daughter and I attended a Leadership Conference today at CWU. Father Greg Boyle, a Jesuit Priest who works with gang members in Los Angeles, inspired me. There were many nuggets I gleaned and here they are in bullets for easy digestion:

*We've forgotten that we belong to each other. There's no "us and them" there's only "us".

*In creating a community of kinship, imagine a circle of compassion and stand on the open edge of it. As you move out of judgement and into compassion, the circle naturally widens and welcomes.

*Your job description is to encircle people, and allow them to "let the soul feel its worth".

*Have the courage to walk in your own footsteps. Love yourself and live as the authentic, divinely intended....YOU. No shame.

Blessings and inspiration with love,
